I am a baby duck. I came from the egg. My mother is great. She has another baby duck like me. We both came in to the world from an egg.

.

We have no house, but we do have a bed. My mother will always put me in that bed at night. I don’t like that because I want to play at night.

.

We always go in the water to play. We play when it is light and when it is night!

The other baby duck and I often play a game where we must find a boat. We can not go near it, but we both must see it.

.

Mother will say to me that the boat might run off with me. I don’t like that!

I don’t want to be away from my mother. She is very kind. So the other baby duck and I don’t go near the boat.

.

But we don’t always find a boat. When we can not find the boat and have been in the water too long, mother will come and we will go eat.

We always have something to eat. When we eat it is night. There is no light from the sun.

.

I would like for it to always be light out. I don’t like when it is not! We can play more when it is light out. I only want to play!
